DTM Technologies, A provider of digital aerial Mapping & 3d modelling for Wales and the rest of the UK. A company based in Anglesey, North Wales – Aerial survey, filming and inspections. A company that specialises in creating accurate, high resolution digital terrain models, animations and applications for all industry sectors.

Town Planning

Using Wales and UK wide map data to create an accurate 3d representation of a Town and viewing it in an online application without the need for 3rd party plugins.

Laser scanning & Surveying

Aerial Film & Photography

We provide a web friendly video and photography service. We are CAA certified for commercial aerial work for the whole of Wales and UK and carry out risk assessments for all our aerial work.

3D printing and Casting

We provide a 3d digital modelling, printing and casting service across Wales and the UK. We use very high resolution 3d printing techniques which provide ultra sharp detail, cast in only the highest quality resins.

Cemlyn is in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the north coast of Anglesey, North Wales.
This was a project carried out last summer (2015). We were commissioned by the national Trust to map 200 hectares of land belonging to them, that in the future may be suseptable to flooding in the event of global sea level rise. The lower parts are just above see level presently. The area is also next to a proposed new nuclear facility build.
The area falls within a restricted no fly zone (Wylfa Nuclear Power Station) , we worked with the Civil Aviation Authority and Wyklfa security staff in order to safely carry out the survey. We also liased with Horizon, who are building Wylfa Newydd next to this site. There were many safety considerations we had to take into account in order to legally carry out this survey.

The survey itself consisted of over 2000 24MP photos, which produced a point cloud in excess of 2 billion points. Ground control point, over 100, were used to accurately create and position the digital elevation model according to british national grid. The control points were measured using a state of the art netwrtked GPS rover.
